Betel set in varnished wood with pyramidal truncate shape. The box has a false bottom with top rim protruding slightly to fit with the lid cover. The inside of the box is covered in green velvet.

An inner case, set on the false bottom, is used for the recipients necessary to prepare a betel quid : a pot where lime is still apparent, two other cylindrical pots for the areca nut and the spices, and a betel cutter.

The pots are in silver, elaborate with a triangle pattern, and the lid is inlaid with gold. The betel leaves are set into the box’s false bottom.

When the box’s lid is removed, its inner and outer sides, covered with silver sheet may be seen. This 3 cm silver sheet has festoon and foliage decoration.
