Oval shaped box in fluted wood. Lid and sides are engraved with floral and foliage decoration. On the lid which slides, there is a rectangular inscription which reads : « BU-RONOREDJO », almost certainly the name of the owner of the box. Inside the box, a long compartment for the betel leaves, two round holes for the lime, the spices and the ground areca nut. The box must have been painted as traces of red flowers are still visible on the left side.
