Such a wealth of embellishments have been added, that the finished item seems almost overloaded. The brass is milled with a pattern of tiny roundels, some of which are made of encrusted coloured glass. The handles terminate in horse heads, each has a bone panel set with a brass fish. Each mushroom is set with a mirror.
